Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
Given that we are each unique, I have a theory that we each view the world very differently, whether that’s due to having a different opinion, a different mindset, or perhaps even a different vision as in optical vision.
I know that most of us can point to a particular colour and identify it by its name but are we truly seeing the same colour? For example, is my version of the colour green the same as yours? We will never truly know…
Much like life, a lot of what we visually see, view, and experience is often different from the reality of the situation. For example, you may bump into someone whilst out shopping and they may smile or wave, and whilst that person may visually seem perfectly fine to you, perhaps they aren’t, perhaps they are having a bad day or a difficult time in their life but that smile you saw doesn’t give any of that away!
I also believe that when things aren’t ‘quite right’ that even the happiest of situations doesn’t really feel all that happy, things seem suddenly rather tainted and you find yourself unable to fully appreciate the things which you once enjoyed or found beautiful such as listening to your favourite music or perhaps a walk through the fields…
I guess it’s a bit like covering something with a filter as nothing looks, feels, or seems as it should… and that is the best way that I can describe my own situation at present.
I am so grateful for all the happy times and the good things in my life but due to the heavyweight of the sadness which I feel at present, I find myself viewing the positive points in my life through some sort of a filter… Life is still very beautiful, my view is just not quite as bright nor clear as it once was.
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.
