After several weeks of scorching sunshine, we were given a break from the intense heat as the thunder rumbled, the lightning struck, and the heavens opened. It was a relief to have some rain at last, certainly so for the flowers.

I think we have some rain headed our way too. Which is good as we’re about to go into drought butwe’ll complain all the same!!
Beautiful flower! What a vivid description of the weather turning!
What a beautiful flower! The rain certainly was welcome, although it was very short-lived for us.
Glad you got the much needed rain. Beautiful photo! I look forward to visiting you for the Sunday photos. I am taking a break, but I look forward to seeing you once I am back. Thanks so much for hosting.

It rained nearly all day Tuesday here and it was so welcome. It did wonders for the grass in my back garden.
What a pretty flower.
Here we are still waiting for the rain. I have to go and work in the south of France in July and I’m dreading the scorching heat as much as the sudden downpours that can occur.
