Welcome to another week of the #MySundaySnapshot blog series, a weekly photo-based blog-linky which you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
It’s been a funny old week, I’ve been up and down like a yo-yo never quite sure what to expect from one moment to the next. Don’t get me wrong, I love being kept busy and I’m certainly up for a challenge but with so much going on each and every day I’ve found myself feeling somewhat overwhelmed.
I’m not feeling entirely myself at present; As you may have read, I’ve been on and off antibiotics for a few weeks now and come August I will be forking out a small fortune for dental work which will hopefully rectify the issue. Whilst I don’t wish to discuss details, our son has also had medical appointments of his own to attend and in the next few weeks will be facing surgery. Although we’ve been expecting this for some time, I’m not entirely thrilled about the idea – no parent in their right mind would be!
This week has been somewhat of an emotional trudge, my stress levels hit an all-time high which has left with me little to no appetite, though I’ve continued to push on through and to ‘crack on’ and to do my best – it’s all I can do really! This time of year is just so busy, each and every day is crammed full of last-minute things to do before the summer holidays arrive. I’m all for being kept on my toes, I just need to remain upright rather than face down on the gravel…
Friday arrived and I downed tools, jumped in the car and shot off to the beach for some time out. I needed to sit, to soak up the sunshine and to be in my own company for a while. It’s amazing how much difference just five minutes peace can make – five minutes to sit, to watch the clouds as they float by and to ground yourself for a moment.
Here’s a rather dreamy shot that I snapped which I’d like to title ‘Cloud Surfing’ as the evening sky looked very much like waves in the ocean. It certainly did the trick in providing me a little peace before I headed home to relax with my family for the evening.

That glowed in the dark
What made it specialÂ
Made it dangerous
So I bury itÂ
And forget”

I hope you and your son are ok. Beautiful colours in those clouds!
He’s fine he just needs something sorting – I’m exhausted but getting there just so fed up of the endless antibiotics for something which could have been sorted ages ago.
