Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
I’ve spent this past week or two nostalgically looking back to a time in my life when things seemed rosy.
I’ve found myself reminiscing upon happier times by listening to music, playing video games, reading books, and even watching footage from festivals and such-like from way back when things were ‘normal’.
Normality is so far from reach right now I cannot even begin to explain… so rather than try to explain, I’ll simply share this beautiful image of rose which I captured earlier this month. Sure, I’ve used the odd filter or two but I’m pretty sure that life needs a filter right about now!
“She says my reality
Got soon called Make Believe,
Imagination’s funeral
Killed by the teenage me
You don’t have to throw it away
Throw being a kid away
Just because you’re growing up
Faster everyday
You don’t have to throw it all away
You don’t have to throw it all away
There’s a way”
Tori Amos – Rose Dover

Beautiful image & beautiful quote. I hope things look up for you & here if you need anyone. Hugs x
Thanks x
What a beautiful photo. I do hope things get back to normality for you soon. I try not to think too much about what we’re missing at the moment. I actually thought I was supposed to be doing a half marathon today, but it turns out it was last week!
It’s not the lockdown as such x
Normal seems so far away at the moment but we are taking little steps towards it.
Beautiful photo x
I wish I could take steps to normal but it ain’t going to happen sadly
