Welcome to another week of the #MySundaySnapshot blog series, a photo-based blog-linky which you are very welcome to join should you fancy sharing your snaps. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky if you wish to take part.
This week has been pretty plain sailing, things no longer feel quite as manic or as full-on as they did a few weeks back. The sun has had his (or perhaps her?) hat on for the past few days and it’s really lifted my mood, I’m quite literally glowing – that could be the sunburn but still, I feel far brighter.
With the good weather, the children have spent most of their time outdoors in the garden or racing around the cul de sac on their various bikes, scooters and such-like. My husband, on the other hand, has taken up jogging which he seems to enjoy no matter what the weather, though I’m all for getting fit and staying healthy – you won’t see me running for toffee or any other sweet treat for that matter. If you ever should see me run, then I’d suggest you start running as there’s bound to be a good reason for my hasty pace.
I much prefer to enjoy the good weather by taking a leisurely stroll along the shore or going for a simple drive out to somewhere scenic. I often take my camera (aka my phone) along with me to snap summer shots whilst enjoying the sounds of nature and my kids possibly having a tantrum all whilst soaking up the summer sunshine. Even better, I’m quite happy ligged out on a sunbed, listening to the radio with a glass of something cold by my side.
Speaking of summer shots – I snapped this shot of a little ladybird enjoying a leisurely stroll of its own along a leaf a few weeks back – there was something so simple yet satisfying about this snap. I guess I would be quite happy as a Ladybird in another life…
“Hey, Ladybird, ain’t it just the way,
the way that love grows cold and then fades away?”
(Natalie Merchant – Ladybird)

What a cute ladybird. I don’t think the nice weather is going to last, but I predict that the next wet spell will be over soon and we’ll be enjoyed a good couple of months of glorious sunshine. I’m not a forcaster, just full of wistful thinking 🙂

Wishful thinking works for me x
