Welcome to this weeks edition of the #MySundaySnapshot blog series, a weekly blog-linky which you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
It hasn’t been the easiest week that I’ve ever had – whilst I do not wish to go into the finer details upon this matter, I would like to thank my family and friends who were nothing but supportive and understanding during a difficult time.
Whilst I may have spent the beginning of the week feeling pretty blue, by the end of the week I felt far more ‘purple’ shall we say. I, therefore, would like to share this rather beautiful snapshot of these pretty, purple flowers taken earlier this month whilst out on a walk.
I love how the shades of blue and purple set against the vivid green leaves create a stark snapshot, added to this a few iPhone focal photo filters and it’s a pretty perfect picture if I say so myself.
“I watch me be this other thing and never know
If I’m marooned or where the purple people go
And lily white matricide from vicious words
It doesn’t leave a scratch so, therefore, no one’s hurt”
Tori Amos – Purple People

Oh Rachel, I’m sorry you’ve been having such a difficult time. I love the flowers and I’m glad you are feeling more purple. Purple is my favourite colour, and I think your explanation fits it quite well. I’m a positive person constantly fighting off the blues, so always somewhere in-between.
I hope things improve for you now x
Thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely message Anne – I feel a little better having spent time with my husband distracting myself from it all. xxx
