Did you know that the Hawthorn tree is a symbol of magical enchantment? Whilst being associated with Beltane, the ancient festival of celebrating the spring, according to Celtic mythology the Hawthawn is said to be one of the most sacred trees as it symbolises love and protection. Many people believe that fairies live under and around Hawthorn trees as their guardians thus the trees are treated with great respect and care. You learn something new every day!
