Whilst I haven’t really taken many photos this week, I found this beauty whilst browsing through my hubbies photos. He took this whilst out on his daily dawdle with the dog earlier this week, I would say walk but the basset tends to stick to a slow saunter rather than walking pace.
I love the warmth in this image, whilst we’ve had a glimmer of sunshine this week it was short-lived and once again we are being battered by the rain. I’d have thought that we would have seen Summer by now but apparently not – I’m still wrapped up in my long sleeved dress tops and the bed’s still covered by a fluffy blanket, which will stay put until the temperature dares to creep above twenty degrees.
This time last year we were basking in the sun practically begging for a break from the heat, yet here we are a year later looking out at yet another drizzly day. It’s a little depressing to say the least.
I was planning on ordering rattan furniture for the garden but will save my money and leave it until next year now – it’d only get wet, rusty and possibly eaten by the pooch.
With fetes, galas, sports days and all the outdoor events coming up, I’ve got my fingers crossed for some decent weather and further pictures like the above.
