Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
Earlier this week we celebrated a very special young man’s eleventh birthday and despite being in lockdown, J had a truly wonderful day.
J began the day by being spoilt rotten with gifts galore, following which he spent time chatting to family. As we were blessed with beautiful weather, we were able to enjoy time paddling in the pool, bouncing on the trampoline, and shooting some hoops in the garden. Later that evening, we settled for a family film night followed by a fireworks display in the garden.
It’s alarming how quickly eleven years have managed to pass by, time is apparently an illusion. One minute things seem so very simple and we naively believe that we have all the time in the World, the next we are wishing time to slow down and for things to last just that little bit longer…Oh if only we could be ‘forever eleven’.

What a fabulous photo. A very happy birthday to your boy. Glad he had a good day & yes, it goes so quickly xx
Time flies xxx
Happy birthday to him! It sounds like you all had a wonderful day. It’s scary how quickly the time goes. My eldest will be 19 next month and my ‘baby’ is 14.
19?! Wow
Happy birthday to him, glad he managed to have a good day despite not being able to go out!
