Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
It’s been another super, sunny Saturday here up north and we’ve enjoyed yet another family weekend walk with the dogs, only this time we decided to go a little off track (due to the threat of being attacked by an outrageous owl) and ended up hiking up a steep hill through uneven woodland. The extra twenty-minute detour certainly added a few thousand extra steps to my daily Apple watch count and I’m definitely feeling it now as boy – it wasn’t half steep!
It was great to get out and to be able to enjoy the amazing views, to soak up the smell of wild garlic and freshly cut grass, and of course to devour yet another burger from the ‘van that can’. I even took a moment to sit outside ‘the local’ whilst I waited for our food order, it’s the first time that I’ve been to the pub in over a year and it felt quite nice to socialise whilst sitting out in the sun – it’s a step nearer to normal at least!
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares, or comments upon this post.

It looks like a beautiful walk. I did have to laugh at the idea of being attacked by an outrageous owl! I never would have guessed they would/ could attack people.
Well apparently they do as a little girl had been scratched whilst walking earlier this week so we avoided it!
Owls can be quite violent. I saw one go for its live dinner once in a conservation centre and I’ve never seen them in the same light since. What a beautiful view though, it was certainly worth the extra steps, and a nice meal outside a pub. You really are lucky.
Thanks x
