Welcome to this weeks Easter edition of the #MySundaySnapshot blog series, a relatively recently launched blog-linky which you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
Easter has landed at a peculiar point this year. Usually we celebrate Easter during the school holidays. However, the kids were back at school on Monday, thus we’ve enjoyed a slightly shorter week and are currently in the midst of a lengthy weekend. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I don’t mind four-day working weeks in the slightest, especially two of them following a fortnight’s holiday!
The weather is obviously on side with our Easter plans as we are currently enjoying temperatures in the twenties. So far we’ve enjoyed a family photo shoot, a family meal, a full day of lazing in the sunshine and Paul and I had an evening out together watching live Music in our local area.
We’ve yet to conduct and to carry out our rather elaborate Easter Egg hunt, this has become an annual event which over the years has grown in complexity. Paul has spent half his weekend making an intricate map which the children will need to decode and decipher to discover where the treasure is hidden. They will each been given a large plastic, easter basket in which to collect their easter money, easter eggs, easter books, fluffy toys and whatever else may be hidden in and around the house. It’s all good fun but my word – it takes some serious time to set up!
Prior to this, E has her weekly swimming lesson to attend and I cannot wait to hop into the hot tub and indulge in a little rest and relaxation before the chaos commences. I can only imagine how hyper my kids will be once those eggs have been collected and cracked open!
I love this time of year; the weather is changing, the flip-flops can come out of hiding and the winter wear is put away for a little while. It’s so nice to sit outside and to enjoy dinner on the decking and games on the garden; no jackets or coats required.
More so, I really appreciate being able to spend time as a family enjoying days out, time in the garden and frolicking in the fresh air without the weather getting in the way.
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.

Mine are too old for the hunt, plus my dog would probably eat it! Hope you have a wonderful day, happy easter x

Thanks Susan and you x
What a lovely, peaceful photo. I hope the kids enjoy their Easter egg hunt! I’m feeling bad because my kids have only got one £3 egg each. They will get a couple more eggs when we go to my mum’s later though.
Don’t feel bad – eggs are eggs!
