Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
We’ve come to the end of yet another week in isolation and bar the daily dog walks, the weekly shopping trip to Tesco, and the daily drive to assist and care for my Dad (who has recently undergone brain surgery) we’re quite happy hermits. Home is our safe place and we are quite accustomed to spending most of our time within these four walls. Though, once you’ve been instructed to do just that, it feels a little different, doesn’t it?
I feel like everybody’s eyes are on me the moment that I leave the house, they don’t know where I’m going or what I’m doing. I often wonder whether it would be worth sticking a post-it note in my windscreen explaining myself. Although considering that most people are more concerned with bulk-buying bog roll, I doubt that my daily duties are of any real concern to them.
Don’t get me wrong, I am hugely paranoid about the coronavirus (as are we all!) but there is very little else that I can do in the current climate other than to continue wearing my mask and my gloves, and of course to keep washing my hands regularly.
I cannot wait for the day that this lockdown malarkey comes to an end. Sadly, I see it being quite sometime before the rules and regulations are relaxed…
Given that we are in the midst of a lockdown, I have been unable to capture my regular snapshots whilst out and about. I have therefore had to beg and borrow a few photos from my friends this week and why not?
Sun Stretched On Silver Sands
Thanks to Karl for capturing this stunning shot, I love how the light literally stretches across the bay, leaving a silvery trail across the sands – it is the perfect sun-shot!
This fantastic photo was taken by the lovely Karl Brooks (aka Carlos!), a past punter and real-ale enthusiast, who I spent many hours entertaining across the bar back in the day.
On that note, I’d like to thank all of my family and friends that have got in touch over the past few weeks to send their best wishes, it means a lot xxx
Finally, I’d like to wish all of my readers a very Happy Easter. I hope that you are all staying safe, happy, healthy and making the most of what is an extremely difficult situation.
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.

Thanks and to you x
What a beautiful photo. I can’t imagine how worried you must be about coronavirus after your dad’s surgery. Hope you all stay safe.
Thanks – we are doing our best
What a talented friend you have, that’s a beautiful photo. I have such a longing to be near the sea at the moment. I don’t know if it’s the sunshine. Sadly, we live right in the middle of the country so it will be a while before we see the sea. I hope things are settling down for you know x
A little but not quite x
I hope you dad is doing OK. I wouldn’t worry about going out, it sounds like you are going out for the right reasons.
