My amazing husband turns forty this weekend. To mark the occasion we enjoyed a romantic getaway in Edinburgh last weekend and this week we are planning to enjoy a family takeaway and a day out to Manchester’s Chill Factor where we’re hoping to have some fun playing in the white stuff with the kids.
I’m currently up to my elbows in chocolate cake, icing, and birthday banners thus haven’t time to write an essay. I would however like to take this opportunity to wish my soul mate, my rock, and my personal hero the very best of birthdays. Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

I am having a little pity party for a number of reasons and am contemplating doing something completely irresponsible that I can’t really afford to do…part of which is going to Ed Fest for 4 days with a friend whose son has a show in it. She lives round the corner from me, so it’s kind of stupdi but it is something I’ve always wanted to do. I feel your picture is a sign that I should go….(because everything is about me, me,me -ha!)
