Welcome to another week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines on this linky.
I apologise for yet more photos from our trip to the Dam but I have a whole heap of snap-shots saved on my phone which I feel warrant sharing.
Whilst exploring the city I found myself fascinated by the slimline, steep and shapely structural work of each of the houses which line the streets. Houses in and around Amsterdam are built on wooden foundation boards, which over time rot away leaving the house to lean, sway, and essentially dance making for some spectacular structures! Here are a couple of the dancing houses I took a snapshot of whilst wandering around the city.
“You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen.
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine.
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life.
See that girl, watch that scene, diggin’ the dancing queen.
