I’ve spent the past few days scrolling and searching online for a summer holiday. I’m not entirely sure where we wish to visit as of yet, but so long as there’s plenty of sun, sand, slides and swimming for the kids then I’m sure that they will be satisfied.
Whilst we tend to travel abroad, I’m quietly considering the idea of a UK break as an alternative to our usual safety net of Spain. Not only would a UK break be a little cheaper, it would also be far easier to get to and would offer us the chance to save for Florida the following year.
Decisions, decisions! If only I could make a darned decision! Until I do I guess we will make the most of our own beach, which is just a stones throw away from our front door.
Or maybe I’ll go to Rome
And rent me a grand piano and put some flowers ’round my room
But let’s not talk about fare-thee-wells now
The night is a starry dome
And they’re playin’ that scratchy rock and roll
Beneath the Matalla Moon”

Wow, what a beautiful photo! You’re lucky to have that so close. We don’t go abroad much, but the poem made me laugh as it mentioned two of the places we have been – Amsterdam and Rome.
I’m a bit fan of UK breaks but not of beaches! This year we are thinking Edinburgh
We’ve had UK summer holidays for the last few years & would highly recommend – especially if we get another summer like the last one! #MySundaySnapshot
We always do UK holidays, there is always lots to do, it’s just the weather that’s hit or miss. We have always been pretty lucky, but in the UK there is plenty to do in the rain too. I guess living near a beach makes it different for you. For us, living in the Midlands, getting to see any beach is a treat. Good luck on choosing. x
Yeh we live in the Lake District which is the UKs main holiday area lol
Oh I would love to be at a beach now and sit with my bare feet in the sand, bliss! X #mysundaysnapshot
