Alongside Valentines Day, Paul and I celebrated twenty years of being together this week. It truly doesn’t feel like twenty years since he picked me up in his purple VW Polo and took me to the cinema to see a vile horror movie but time moves swiftly.
We are planning to continue our celebrations over in Amsterdam later this month. It’ll be our first trip away ‘just the two of us’ since we had children – it’ll no doubt be a colourful couple of days, much like this rainbow rose that I was spoilt with for Valentines.

What a beautiful rose and congratulations on 20 years together! I hope you have an amazing time in Amsterdam. That was our first holiday without kids too – to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We’ve been together nearly 32 years and will be 25 years married this year.
