Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
My beautiful little lady came home rather excited this afternoon as whilst she had been out shopping with her Dad she’d picked up these pretty flowers. I’d expected that she’d bought them for her room, perhaps the living room, or maybe to decorate some random piece of artwork with – I was wrong.
E had chosen the flowers as they are silk and won’t rot thus will be ideal to place on her Grandads grave. Bless her, my heart practically melted as she explained that she’d chosen them especially. I daren’t tell her that silk flowers may well be frowned upon by some… Instead, I placed the flowers into a vase temporarily and will indeed deliver her beautiful little flowers to her Grandads resting place at some point in the coming week.
They may be silk but they ain’t half pretty! Though nowhere near as pretty as our amazing little lady with her beautiful heart and incredible ideas.
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.

That is lovely. And I think they are sometimes preferred by cemetaries as even a week can be too long to leave fresh flowers on site. What a kind little girl you have. #MySundaySnapshot
That is so lovely and thoughtful! No wonder you are proud of her.
Silk flowers can be so real, just they have no sent
That’s a lovely thought from your daughter. We have been through this discussion with our family grave (My Mum and Dad, Nan and brother) The grave has been there for nearly fifty years now and it was always replenished with fresh flowers. After Mum passed my older brother got angry that an aunty had put silk flowers on. However, he never visits anyway and my auntie goes regularly. The flowers always look so pretty even though they are not real and they cost her a lot of money. I still take fresh flowers when I go but I don’t mind the silk ones because they look so much better for longer. I can no longer visit very often as cemeteries are not very wheelchair friendly and I have to be helped on crutches to reach the grave which is extremely hard work for me. Sorry, for the essay, but the flowers are beautiful and over the years I’ve completed converted to the idea of silk flowers on graves. x
Aww! How sweet of E to get those flowers for her grandads grave. They are so pretty. She is so kind and thoughtful. x
These silk roses are pretty. How nice that your daughter has thought of her Granddad. Stay blessed!
