Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
My goodness, this week hasn’t half been busy! Both Paul and I have been back and forth every other day to this beautiful village doing our very best to help my Mum by moving furniture, fixing fridges, or examining and listing various items and pieces of equipment for sale. We’ve worked so hard but there’s still so much to do and though it’s a little overwhelming at times, more than anything it’s really highlighted how big the hole is that Dad’s left in our life.
What with our efforts to help my poor Mum alongside having to homeschool two children, keep on top of things within our own roles, the housework, and the recent preparation for the installation of a hot tub (which I am hoping should arrive later this week) we simply haven’t stopped and I for one am exhausted.
Thankfully repair work on my Mothers properties that were recently damaged by a burst water main (due to United Utilities incompetence) has now started and with a little luck, things should be ‘back to normal’ by around April time.
I have my fingers crossed that at some point in the near future life might calm down a little. Call it wishful thinking but just a couple of weeks of normality without any drama would be really nice… that said, what exactly is normality? I don’t know about you but I’ve almost forgotten what ‘normal’ even is.
“Oh, it feels so good
When you let go of all the drama in your life
Now you’re free from all the pain, free from all the pain
Free from all the game, free from all the game
Free from all the stress, free from all the stress
So find your happiness
I don’t know
Only God knows where the story ends for me
But I know where the story begins
It’s up to us to choose
Whether we win or lose
And I choose to win”

That does sound like very hard work, and especially tough when you are still grieving. I really hope things settle down for you all soon.
Thanks Sarah – we’ve been thrown quite a few obstacles this past twelve months (or more now)
It does sound like a lot of drama, I hope it all settles down soon and you can find some peace. Remember to take some time out to look after yourself. x
