Welcome to another week of the #MySundaySnapshot blog series, a new-ish blog-linky which you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
I often find that I spot the most stunning scenery whilst out on the move in the Mini. Given that I don’t really fancy picking up a ticket or worse, a ban from driving I choose to stay safe and click the moment in my mind. Sure thing, I could pull over, get out of the car and take the time to shoot a few snaps, though I highly doubt my kids would be too keen on waiting around whilst I get snap happy, thus I continue to drive by.
My life often feels like a drive by; so many things seem to pass me by as I haven’t the time or attention to offer to the matter. However, this afternoon I had a second pair of hands to snap the shot on my behalf, meanwhile I put my foot to the floor and kept a firm grip upon the wheel.
And I can’t help but ask myself how much I’ll let the fear
Take the wheel and steer
And it seems to have a vague, haunting mass appeal
But lately I am beginning to find
That I should be the one behind the wheel
I’ll be there with open arms and open eyes
I’ll be there, I’ll be there
To be one of the hive
Will I choose water over wine
And hold my own and drive?
And it seems to be the way that everyone else gets around
But lately I am beginning to find
That when I drive myself my light is found
I’ll be there with open arms and open eyes
Whatever tomorrow brings
I’ll be there, I’ll be there
Hold the wheel and drive?
I’ll be there with open arms and open eyes
I’ll be there, I’ll be there”
