This time seventeen years ago I was getting trussed up in a huge white dress ready for what felt like the biggest day of my life… seventeen years, two houses, six cars, two dogs, four sofas, goodness knows how many mattresses, two dress sizes, and two kids later we’re still very happy, if a little rounder, greyer, and wiser with the years gone by.
To say that we’ve been through a lot is more than an understatement; seventeen years has brought us a rollercoaster’s worth of ups and downs but we’ve battled them together and continue to ride life not just hand in hand but as a team, together.
I felt the need to post today simply to document my thanks to Paul for not only putting up with me for so long but for everything that he does, from taking the bins out to bringing me a brew in the morning – it’s the little things that make the bigger picture brighter. Thank you for all the moments and memories that we’ve shared, here’s to many more that I’ll no doubt document by taking thousands of pictures which will take up yet more hard drives and god knows how many more photoframes and windowsill/ wall space.

Congratulations it’s nice to know some couples stay together through thick & thin, 17 years is a long time you wait till you get to 40, We were married in Jan 1981. I hope you have many more happy years together.
Thanks xxx
Congratulations! It’s amazing what all happens in a life in seventeen years, I’m glad you have a great partner to share it with!
