Welcome to this weeks edition of #LivingArrows, I haven’t taken a whole heap of photos this week, with the kids getting back into the school routine it feels as if time has been halved. I guess it has really, the kids are out for at least half of the day and so photo opportunities aren’t as easy these days.
I will however share a couple of random shots from the week which I found lurking on the hubby’s phone, it’s amazing whats on there let me tell you!
Swinging In The Sunshine
The summer is fading fast, the sunshine is apparently making a come back this week but so far I see no sign of its desires to return. As soon as the sun does show its face we are ‘on it like a car bonnet’ by which I mean we tend to race outside, make full use of the garden and enjoy every last moment of the suns rays before the clouds descend.
Here is our little Princess perfecting her ‘swinging technique’ on a child’s swing seat, it’s a recent development and is yet another tell-tale sign that she is no longer my little baby girl.
The Dinosaur Dig
My parents recently gave J a ‘Dinosaur Dig’ set which consisted of a box filled with what looked like a large breeze block, a paint brush and a plastic hammer. In other words it was a mess waiting to happen, just what us OCD Mothers love!
The idea was that J was to be an archaeologist for the day and slowly chip away and brush at the block to reveal hidden dinosaur remains…or or to be precise, bits of fragile plastic.
J found it practically impossible to chip at the brick and after almost twenty minutes it was fairly obvious that he may soon become bored by the activity should we not ‘find bones’. To speed things up we offered J some more adult tools, he seemed far happier with his Dad’s flat head screw driver and a large hammer which soon got the job done.
I love pictures of the boys together, J is a proper ‘Dads Lad’ especially when is given the tools of the trade to make loads of mess and possibly injure himself with. Boys will be boys!
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
