Almost every Sunday whilst I am busy behind the bar my husband and the kids toddle off to my in-laws for Sunday dinner. Once upon a time I too used to join them for dinner but since my Sunday shifts started a couple of years ago I have been unable to do so, luckily I still get to enjoy a pub roast whilst working but I often wonder what my little ones are up to whilst I’m busy being a barmaid.
The kids love going to their Nana and Grandad’s house, they live by a farm which the kids enjoy running riot around more often than not returning home muck up to high heaven.…
Once again I’m posting late in the day as we’ve had yet another busy day, I say busy when in actual fact I mean emotional. We took our beautiful basset hound to the vets earlier on this afternoon and received some rather devastating news which we have since spent hours absorbing and discussing as a family. I’ll write a separate post upon this shortly but as you can imagine, it’s not been the easiest of days so bear with me.
Fun With Face Paints
We’ve experienced some fairly stormy weather over the past couple of days but that hasn’t stopped us getting out and about to have fun with the children both indoors and out.…
Welcome to this weeks edition of #LivingArrows, a weekly linky post in which I share snaps of our children, I love this linky as it enables me to keep a record of our children over time, that and it gives me a family based focus for the start of each and every week.
As you may have already read in my past posts, we spent this past weekend down in Derbyshire celebrating a family wedding in which my children played the key roles of ‘flower girl’ and ‘page boy’. I being the proud parent have since plastered pictures here, there and everywhere as my kids are not only super cute but they are my everything, they literally rock my World.…
Is it really only Monday?! I’m not sure whether I’d like to restart the week or just cancel the whole thing to be honest. I’ve had a seriously crappy start to what is meant to be a fabulous family based week.
Mr Tax Man (or his cousin Mr Credits to be more precise) got in touch earlier today to let me know that he is obviously unable to use his calculator as there’s been a monumental cock-up with our tax credits payments. Being the honest type I’ve never fancied benefit fraud and for that reason have always been very sure to keep the tax man up to date with accurate records of our finances.…
Although I’d wrapped myself up in what I can only compare to an oversized duvet rather than a jacket and had intentionally worn many layers whilst out at J’s karate lesson it made very little difference as I arrived home frozen to the bone.
Paul and E on the other hand were stripped down to the bare essentials giving it their all as they bopped along to the XBOX. It wasn’t long before J had joined the kids I am including my husband in this statement to dance along to a game prior to settling down for supper.
E had laid a blanket on the floor as a make-shift dance mat whilst J seemed unusually happy to bust a few moves before bath time.…
