Earlier this month E celebrated what was her final World Book Day at primary school. Although secondary schools note the occasion by sharing stories, poetry, and various literature, they don’t tend to dress up like the primary schools do thus we decided to go ‘all out’ this time around.
I usually groan at the idea of having to spend money on an outfit that will only be worn for twenty-four hours before being shelved forevermore. This year however the children were given a theme (Roald Dahl) and E knew exactly who she wanted to dress up and exactly what she’d be wearing thus we spent precisely £0 which was a relief!
Every single part of the outfit featured in this photo (except the printed golden ticket) was something that we already had in the house and put together, E had devised the ultimate Willy Wonka outfit!
Perfect in purple, our little lady had the biggest beaming smile as she strolled across the school-yard that morning. It was certainly a World Book Day to remember.
