It’s Monday again and with the start of another week brings another #LivingArrows post. Living Arrows is all about celebrating childhood, the project originally took its name from a poem written by Kahil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”.
Each and every Monday I share a couple of snaps of my ‘little snappers’ to join as part of the #LivingArrows linky along with other bloggers.
The autumn sunshine came out to play this afternoon and so following the school run I made the best of the beautiful weather and took the kids to the park to run some energy off.
E is a natural explorer, she is ‘Little Miss No Fear’ and will happily climb to her heart’s content with little worry of bumps or scrapes, I on the other hand tend to hover below like most worried parents watching their children gain their independence.
Little Miss No Fear
J also loves the sunshine, any excuse to take his jumper off and run around like a loon suits him just fine.
What is it with the male of the species and heat? It can be freezing weather and they barely feel the cold, whilst us girls have to wrap up warm the moment a cloud passes over. It’s exactly the same in the sack, by which I mean that us ladies like to stay snug under the duvet whilst blokes complain that us women are like oversized hot water bottles and they can’t bare the heat.
Mr Cool J
We had a wonderful time romping around the obstacle course and chasing each others shadows. There is something magical about the autumn sunshine, its goldilocks weather it’s not too hot, not too cold, it’s just right.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

we enjoyed a bit of that sunshine today too! even with our 5 year old being poorly we got to go out for a nice walk. 🙂 btw, never tried #livingarrows linky…but it does sound like a nice one 🙂 xx
It’s a great linky x
We had some goldilocks weather yesterday and today. It’s been lovely to just take a walk and look up at the lovely blue sky.
My son is a climber. He is the child that all the parents gasp at in the park because he is up at the top of the climbing frame or up a tree.
I think children need to learn their own boundaries in safety we can only guide them. I am like you though, hovering with one eye closed and one eye open x
Do you do that thing where you freeze when they almost fall?
Gorgeous photos. You can tell E is Miss no fear and I love J’s big smile x #livingarrows

They both look so big and brave this week – what fun, adventurous kids! x
They have both come on leaps and bounds, I am so proud of them.
