So here we are at the end of February already. Time seems to be slipping by like sand through my fingers of late but I guess that’s life, especially so when you’re a working and very busy parent.
February may be a short month but blimey it was busy! Especially so for the kids with their studies, school, after-school clubs, activities, appointments, and suchlike. Thankfully we had the half-term holidays mid-month so we were able to switch off the alarm and relax for a few days.
We ordered and received E’s new bedroom furniture, all of which arrived flat-packed and we have since built, arranged, and decorated the room to match accordingly. We are yet to complete E’s Harry Potter-themed boudoir by adding new carpet, curtains, and a few accessories here and there, but the hard work is thankfully done and dusted.
Having upgraded E’s bedroom from a ‘pretty pink toddlers dream den’ to rich red and gold, gothic-style-teenage-territory we’ve also sorted through her clothes, toys, and costumes, a couple of which still fit and she was more than happy to model for us. E may have changed her preferences from pink to punk but she’s opted to keep her treasured toys (her Barbies, Sylvanians, and fluffy bunnies) hidden within her brand-new stylish storage cubes and apparently thankfully she’s still down with Disney as she was more than happy parading around in her Frozen frocks.
Bless, our little lady may well be growing up and wishing to revamp her room but she’s still our little Princess at heart.
