The Daily Grind
Most days by bath time I am completely exhausted, that includes the days when I am working evening shifts till gone ten o’clock.
Despite having the day off from work Mondays are always fairly full on. After ferrying the kids to and fro from Nursery, School and Karate lessons then ensuring Homework is complete and the house is in one piece I am usually pretty knackered come nine o’clock.
Today has been exceptionally busy with the usual Monday madness along with the added extras of a meeting at my son’s school, a Doctors appointment, waiting at the pharmacy and then a parents evening. Amidst the rather hectic schedule I have also managed to strip all the beds, hoover downstairs, make dinner, do four washing and drying loads and type out a blog post or two.
God knows how I fit it all in, I am yet to find my brain which seemed to wander off about three weeks ago and hasn’t returned since. It’s probably gone for some chocolate, gin and much-needed sleep and is doesn’t fancy coming back any time soon.
Bath Time Bedlam
The kids thankfully seemed to know that I was tired tonight and gave me a fairly easy bath time. It was so easy that I even managed to grab a few bubble snaps to share for my weekly #Living Arrows post.
Bubble Boy
My Little Mermaid
It only took two books before J was ready to retire to his bed and following a further ten minutes of cuddling up to the Princess she was flat-out too! I can now kick back, stick the box on and then get some ‘time out’ before I also head for the hay.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I was tired just reading all that ! It’s lucky we can do all those daily tasks on auto without the need for a brain, mine wandered off years ago. #TuesdayTreasures
I know, I am tired thinking back to yesterday. This morning has consisted of a few wash loads, a blog post, making the beds, changing the kids books to halloween themed stories and shortly picking up the princess. We we will then do our num nom baking and give the builders something sweet to eat.
That sounds like a busy day! I am glad you got some time for yourself at the end, its so important us parents get that time to ourselves and I sometimes stubbornly stay awake just to have some ‘me’ time!
I too stay awake stupidly late
Adorable photos, I love the one with all of the bubbles!
I think we as parents always cram way more into days than we think is even possible, you get more time back when they become teenagers though and then you miss it!! #tuesdaytreasures
I will probably miss all the hustle and bustle.
I love both photos but I think bubble boy’s one is particularly great. x #livingarrows
Great photos and my mind seems to have gone to mush too. #TuesdayTreasures
