Welcome to this weeks #LivingArrows back to school special edition.
I have to admit that whilst I was dreading E starting nursery and leaving me on my lonesome, today actually went pretty well all things considering.
At first I just wandered around the house wondering how E was settling in and whether J was enjoying his first day in the juniors.
After I gave my head a wobble, I made a start on the chores and let me tell you that it’s blumming amazing how much you can get done without a little helper in tow.
I managed to clean the house top to bottom, hoover, list thirty items on eBay, sort out all my photos and start uploading them for printing, wrap up birthday parcels, nip to town to pick up some shopping, get three loads of washing done, order the kids some new clothes and fit in a coffee or two along the way.
E seemed to really enjoy her first official day at nursery, the staff assured me how well she had done.
I think that they were probably rather taken aback by my exhilaration at having had three hours to myself. It was a complete novelty and I was fairly animated, possibly a little too hyper by the time that I arrived at the nursery to collect E. I was rather giddy at the idea of picking up my missing part, my partner in crime, my little princess. Things just aren’t the same when she isn’t around!
J also seemed to enjoy his first day back, he wasn’t too fussed by the idea of becoming a junior to be honest. J was more bothered about getting to see his friends and ‘have the crack’ by which I mean get into trouble for talking to much…surely not on the first day? Hmm yeh that.
So here they are, J obviously unable to look at the camera and E unable to smile. Fairs fair, it was early by which I mean before 9am!

It really is amazing how much you can get done when you don’t have kids around. I am so looking forward to T starting preschool now for this very reason! x
