It’s been a whirlwind of a week, we have barely stopped to catch our breath. Both the kids and us adults are completely and utterly exhausted, we are most definitely on count down to the end of term, though even then it’s going to be busy as there’s still so much to get done before the big day.
J and I took a little time out earlier this week, we snuggled on the sofa and enjoyed a Christmas movie together. It’s been a while since I’ve taken time out on a one-to-one basis with J, we simply haven’t had the opportunity until now.
Snuggles On The Sofa
J has grown up so much, it’s hard to believe how fast time has gone by. He’s such a mature little man, so incredibly intelligent yet still incredibly cute and ever so funny.
E has spent the past week practicing for her recent dance debut. E experienced her ‘first time on stage’ earlier this week and I cannot express how proud I was of our beautiful little lady. Not only did she look stunning in her outfit with her tinsel wrapped around her bun, she was a delight to behold. E is a dainty, diva of dancer and was spectacular on the stage.
Diva Dancer
Excuse the bad photo quality, this was taken whilst in the process of videoing and using a zoom – therefore the quality seems to somewhat lower than most of my other photos.
With three and a half days left to go (whose counting? That’ll be me…) there’s still plenty of stage time for the kids to enjoy, as they have three performances to carry out followed by a carol service to complete their week. Having had the pleasure of watching my two wonders carry out a dress rehearsal earlier today, I can say with full confidence that they will knock the socks off the audience over the next few days.
I never thought I’d say this but I’m pretty sure that my pair are born to be on the stage, even J who wasn’t really one for singing nor dancing has given it some serious va-va-voom this year. I couldn’t be a prouder parent, though it’d be really helpful if my pride didn’t express itself in the form of tears. I could really do without having to reach for the hankies each and every time my kids stand on stage. Is it just me or do kids singing Christmas carols have this effect upon everyone?
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

It’s so hard to get one on one time but a snuggle in front of the TV sounds perfect. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas x
The Christmas term always seems to be tough on everyone. I know we have been struggling too. Hope you have a great Christmas xx
