I would have written this post earlier today but I haven’t felt up to doing much of anything other than slouching around sofa surfing and such like. As humans we are forever counting down to something or other, in my case I’ve spent the past month counting down to the Christmas break and just as it is about to arrive I suddenly feel like sin.
I am hoping that most of my pain and discomfort is down to the ‘monthly’ as I don’t fancy battling a bug this close to Christmas, that and I do not wish for the kids to come down with anything so close to the big day. Our little lady has been sick for three out of the four Christmases that she’d had so far and I have my fingers, toes and everything else crossed that this year we can stay clear of any sickness or ill-health and actually enjoy the festivities.
Speaking of festivities, the children have each had the chance to dress up and to partake in their class parties which they both seemed to enjoy. Despite signing the kids up for party food we knew full well that they wouldn’t touch a single sausage pardon the pun and sent along packed lunch boxes to ensure they wouldn’t starve. I wish we didn’t have to do this but neither do I want to force our fussy eaters into anything out of their comfort zone during the festivities. Whats the point in causing upset over food when it can be avoided by throwing a few sandwiches and snacks together?
As you can see by the pictures taken our kids are certainly ready for Christmas, they are super excited as am I and can barely wait for the week ahead.

The kids have an early finish tomorrow as does Paul, this time in twenty-four hours the Christmas holidays will have finally arrived, our regular routine will get thrown from the window, the uniforms will be washed and stored ready for the new year, the festive clobber can get whacked on and we can get cracking with Christmas!
Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
