I’m a sucker for tradition especially when it comes to Christmas! Each and every year we are visited by Santa on his sleigh as the local Inshore Rescue Team raise money towards their charity. Even before having kids I was always sure to be out there with my cash and my camera ready to snap shots as he drove by.
As you can imagine there’s a fair amount of ground to be covered by Santa and his sleigh which usually takes them around a week to complete weather permitting. Since moving to the cul-de-sac in which we now live it just so happens that we are now ‘the first family’ that Santa and his team visit each year.
One things for sure, there’s absolutely no way that you could miss that sleigh with its roaring quad-bike riding reindeer, flashing lights, megaphone Music and the team of collectors as they ring their bells and shake their buckets.
No matter what the weather our kids are always sure to get their coats and shoes on ready to race outside to meet and greet Santa for a snapshot and a quick chat with the big man.
This evening Santa paid us the first visit for 2017, as always he promised that he would return within the fortnight. We’d best our customary refreshments of Sherry and a Mince Pie at the ready, that and a carrot for Rudolph of course!
Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
