Our little lady was invited to yet another birthday party over the weekend which despite feeling unwell earlier in the week she attended with her Daddy whilst I took J along to work with me for a little experience in the entertainment industry.

Whilst at the party E had her face painted, a tattoo printed onto her arm and made full use of the inflatable castles tiring her little body into a tizz. Bless, she seemed to have oodles of fun whilst she was there but due to being under the weather was unable to make it through the full extent of the party.
Having being packed into the car with her party bag in hand my husband very kindly sent me some party pictures to enjoy whilst I kept J occupied as a mini apprentice until Paul was able to relieve him from his duties.
J seems to be in high spirits, he has had one of his close friends over to play this evening. Unlike years back when I had to closely monitor their every move I was able to let them play freely whilst I cracked on with cooking tea.
The boys were happy enough shooting each other with random Nerf Guns, building Hot Wheels tracks, putting together K-Nex and such like before heading to the table to eat tea and to play Battleships which was apparently a first for J’s friend.
The Boy & His Battleships
Having stuffed the children full of fish fingers, chips and ice cream we then allowed them a little tech time prior to dropping J’s friend back with his folks where he will no doubt be climbing the walls from his sugar rush.
Other than the the mass tidy up required following friends coming over to play, playdates seem so much easier these days! Even E is far less demanding than she once was which makes my job as a parent, carer, chef and children’s entertainer far less complex.
Anyhow, having had a house full of kids for the evening, then tidied top to bottom I am off for a soak in the tub and to catch up with my soaps before heading to bed.
Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
