Now we are in November the weather is feeling much more like winter thus we’ve been finding cosy, indoor crafts, movies, and activities to enjoy over the weekends. E adores arts and crafts thus I’m forever having to stock up on wool, threads glitter, glues, paints, and whatever else she happens to find on various YouTube videos. Not only does E have her very own art studio (aka the summer house which is a little cold now that it’s winter) she’s now filled a kitchen cupboard and a living room cupboard with her sketch pads, pencils, canvas, materials, and various equipment.
Whilst searching through my books during planning I came across a cardboard loom among my resources and thus spent a few hours with E teaching her how to set up a loom and to produce a simple weaving. E was instantly intrigued and set about selecting fire-based colours to go with her recent Viking project for school. Two hours later, E had astounded us all as she’d made a beautifully neat, stunning ‘firey weaving’ which is now sat in pride of place on her bedroom counter as a mat.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.
