It feels as if there have been endless events over the past week. What with Halloween followed closely by Bonfire Night, we’ve certainly kept the kids well entertained! We’ve enjoyed a fair few evenings out celebrating the autumn festivities, all whilst stuffing our faces with festive sweet treats.
It truly is time to start the diet before Christmas comes, I feel as if I’ve gained far too much frump over the past week or two and whilst I may have enjoyed the ‘Milky Way’ diet it’s time to cut out the crud and get back to the good stuff.
This evening Paul and I took the kids out to yet another bonfire and firework display. We arrived slightly early so made our way indoors where we enjoyed pies, peas, hotdogs and such-like before heading out meet up with our friends and to get warm by the fire.
Super Sparklers
Having thoroughly baked ourselves, our cheeks red with the heart from the fire, we then watched a stunning fireworks display which both the children and ourselves were wowed by. The kids had the chance to twizzle yet more sparklers whilst Paul and I caught up with our friends. It was a lovely night, the weather held out and we were able to make the very best of bonfire night.
Bonfire Night Boy
I guess now that the fireworks have come to a close, it’s almost time to count down to Christmas and on that note, I am off to unwrap and to review some goodies for the blog.
I hope that you’ve had a safe and super bonfire night. Here’s to enjoying last few weeks of Autumn before winter arrives.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

We didn’t really celebrate bonfire night this year as we currently have no car and couldn’t buy any fireworks. The kids have been watching the neighbours displays instead! Sounds like you had a fun night with lots of activites #LivingArrows
It was lovely thanks x
We really wanted to take the boys to their first bonfire and fireworks display but it was raining so we had to give it a miss. Hopefully we’ll get to one next year! #LivingArrows
It sounds like you have had such a great time celebrating the season – but it gets a bit much doesn’t it? we have been here there and everywhere! x
It does indeed get to be quite a lot, even more coming up with Christmas on the way!
