The kids went back to school today, it was a bit of a shock to the system for us all. Thankfully the day seemed to fly by and judging by my lack of energy this evening, routine and normality have evidently returned.
With Halloween just around the corner we are almost on the countdown to Christmas and I for one cannot wait. I’ve spent the past month or two fiddling with my phone whilst the kids aren’t looking, silently shopping on behalf of Santa. The postman has cottoned onto the crack and has helped by making ‘discreet deliveries’, although trying to conceal the masses of boxes is difficult at the best of times. Why is it that companies insist on printing the contents of their parcels onto the outside of the boxes?
It’s hard enough trying to keep the magic alive with a nine-year old in the house, we are fairly sure that J has sussed the Santa malarkey but still he assures us that he believes. This is the same boy who busted the tooth fairy mid-exchange, scoffs at the idea of a Sandman and rules out religion entirely. I’m pretty sure that he’s only claiming belief in the big man for the sake of his sister and myself. Either way I want to make this Christmas really special for him as I have a feeling it’ll be his last as a ‘believer’.
My Marvellous Little Man
E meanwhile is yet to lose a tooth and therefore hasn’t yet had the pleasure of meeting the tooth fairy (as J did in the middle of the night as he grabbed my hand from under his pillow, looked me square in the eyes and said “busted” in a satisfied tone – there was no getting out of that one!). She is the most imaginative and innocent little lady, she believes in anything and everything including fairies, angels, Father Christmas and all things magical.
Fairy Princess E
I’d like to keep the magic alive for as long as possible for both of our children, especially E as she is mystified and marvelled by the likes of Santa.
Life can be magical if you are willing to believe, and as the saying goes “Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

What lovely photos! I can’t wait for the tooth fairy to be a thing in our house, my girls are too young at the moment! #LivingArrows
Aww, that’s sweet that he’s still pretending to believe for his sister. I hope the magic lasts a while longer yet. #LivingArrows
Thanks me too 🙂
I am dreading the day they don’t believe in FC anymore – it’ll be a sad, sad time! x
