Once again I’m posting late in the day as we’ve had yet another busy day, I say busy when in actual fact I mean emotional. We took our beautiful basset hound to the vets earlier on this afternoon and received some rather devastating news which we have since spent hours absorbing and discussing as a family. I’ll write a separate post upon this shortly but as you can imagine, it’s not been the easiest of days so bear with me.
Fun With Face Paints
We’ve experienced some fairly stormy weather over the past couple of days but that hasn’t stopped us from getting out and about to have fun with the children both indoors and out. E was recently invited to a duel birthday ‘bounce’ party which took place over the weekend, as I’d already taken far more than my allowance in time off from work I asked Paul to take her along to the party. I was gutted that I was unable to be there but Paul seemed to have great fun watching our little lady having fun with her new class friends.
Having spent an hour or so bouncing around on the inflatable castles E took a breather whilst having her face painted. As you can see from the photos she looked amazing, I only wish I could do something similar with our Snazaroo face paints but as I’m no artist I’ll stick to the simple stuff.
Scooters & Smiles
After a busy bar shift I arrived home to find the kids fuelled up with sugar and ready to let loose outside. Both J and E made full use of our cul-de-sac riding around on their scooters, bikes and such-like before heading indoors to enjoy watching Harry Potter whilst sipping their hot chocolates.
J has acquired a range of scooters over the years, this one seems to be his favourite however as it is super speedy and can fold down to take out and about in the car with ease.
I love watching my children play with their friends and family, even more so when they play together. They may have a four-year age gap but they seem to get along so well despite the odd sibling squabble every now and then.
Heres hoping that the weather stays dry over the next week whilst the kids are off for half term so that we can make the very best of our time together.
Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

That face painting is amazing, I’m dreadful at anything like that so try to keep it really simple. J looks delighted on his scooter, whizzing fast x
Yeh he loves it. I need to get my face paints back out and give it another go .
Athena and Troy haven’t been on their scooters for ages – we really need to get back on them. I really need to learn how to do face paint – it’s something the children really love having done so I’d love to do it myself! x
Yeh it’s a skill lol
