With the temperature dropping, the dark nights approaching, and the prospect of another lockdown looming, we’ve become accustomed to the concept of keeping ourselves occupied indoors.
From baking to board games, we’ve kept the kids entertained where and when possible but I must admit, the idea of having to spend another however many months locked within the same four walls is far from ideal.
Beating Boredom With Board Games
It’s such a shame for the kids with Halloween just around the corner as they aren’t able to go about their traditional trick or treating – instead, I’ve ordered various sweets and treats which I plan to offer as prizes for a range of games which I’ll set up for the kids to play in-between movies and such-like.
Double Dip Quality Control
Though I’d hoped to hold onto the sweets until Halloween, E and I couldn’t resist carrying out some quality control prior to the event – though I suspect, from the face that E is pulling in the above picture, that ‘Double Dip’ candy bags maybe a little on the sour side!
Though it’s not easy being stuck inside, I’d much rather play it safe and if that means having to be an entertainer and educator for the foreseeable then so be it.
Thank you for reading and as always,Β I look forward to catching up with yourΒ #LivingArrowsΒ either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

It is tough on the entertainment front isn’t it. I do think board games are the way forward. We will also be doing something inside for Halloween although I think we will be celebrating a day early in a simialr way x
Oh Iβm having a Halloween week! Lol
We are very much the same as you – used to finding ways to occupy ourselves at home now x
Itβs all about staying safe x
I used to love those double dips when I was younger! We don’t normally ‘do’ halloween but I think we will watch a few spooky films and play some games at home this year. x
That sounds good π Enjoy !
