After an unsuccessful and rather stressful attempt at drawing blood from our darling daughter E whilst at the GP (that should never have happened in the first place as she’s under twelve), we were a little nervous about taking her for what would be the second attempt at our local children’s hospital.
We needn’t have worried however as E was super brave and with an incredible effort from the amazing staff on the paediatrics ward, we were able to have her blood checked swiftly and successfully. I’m well aware of how scared and anxious our little princess was thus I’m super proud of her for getting through the appointment without too many tears.
It’s a really tricky time for our family at present thus we may not be posting as much in future, so apologies for weeks (or possibly months) when there may be gaps.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.

Sorry to hear you’re having a tricky time at the moment. I hope things improve for you soon.
This brought back memories of my eldest’s first blood test on the children’s ward at the age of 10. He was terrified! He’s 21 now and even more terrified now than he was then.
