Whilst I may detest the decor in our current kitchen, it seems to be the one place where we gather and spend time together as a family. They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home and I believe this to be true. Not only do we sit around the table as a family for meal times but we also sit together whilst doing homework, painting, playing with play-dough, drawing, playing board games, baking and all kinds of activities.
Peaceful Play-Dough Play
It’s whilst sat around the table that we share snacks, drinks and the stories from our day; it’s our ‘go to place’ after a busy day. I’m sure that if our table had ears, it would be the one piece of furniture which would know us best, as it’s the hub of the home.
Our kitchen table is a surface upon which we leave unopened and unread post, unsigned documents, unfinished work and ‘things to be done’. It’s the place at which things are done and it’s the place at which we do things together.
All Around The Table
The kids don’t seem to care nor to notice that the kitchen is in much-need of a makeover. They don’t see the decor, they are just happy to spend time together as a family and that means the World to me.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I love how kitchens often turn into the hub of the home – meals, crafts, homework. It looks like your table is very well used! x
Our dining table is like this too – its where we always congregate for meals, homework arts and crafts! #LivingArrows
