I hate to wish time away but I can’t help but count down to the half-term holidays. This autumn term is so full-on with activities, appointments, events, and endless dates for the diary – my head is spinning trying to schedule everything just so.
The kids have been so busy of late; if it’s not school, it’s some after-school activity or an appointment, or someone’s party, or whatever else – I can barely keep up! Thankfully E and I enjoyed a well-deserved city break away from the chaos last week and though it was busy, what with the travel, the shopping, and the late-night trip to the AO Arena, we had a blast.
E was introduced to Afflecks Palace where we spent a few hours mooching around the shops taking in the brightly coloured clothes and accessories. Though we didn’t buy anything whilst we were there, I’ve since ordered these spectacular shades she chose to model as a stocking-filler for my little lady. How cool does she look in these bad boys?
Speaking of stocking-fillers, the kids have now informed us both of what they would like for Christmas (E would like a PC for her school work and J would like an Apple watch for his upcoming Duke of Edinburgh certificate) so I can at least make a start on shopping for the ‘big man’ aka Santa, though where the funds are going to come from I’m not entirely sure as most of my finances seem to flow straight to the Florida fund for now – I guess it’ll be the trip of a lifetime but I sure hope that it’s worth it!
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.
