It’s been a really lonnnnnng day which considering that it’s only Monday isn’t the best start to the week. It doesn’t seem to matter how hard the day has been, there is always two little faces with shocking senses of humour that can soon snap me straight out of a funk.
If you’ve read my previous blog post you will be aware that I introduced our car to a wall earlier this afternoon which resulted in a rather pricey trip to the local garage. Whilst discussing this issue with the husband over tea (the meal which us Northern folk usually eat between 5-7pm) J interjected by asking whether the wall cried when it was hit. He then added sound effects much like screeching metal then grinned his wicked grin as he saw me raise a smile. What a fantastic, caring and humorous little man I have, he very cleverly and quickly changed what could have become a heated debate into absolute hysterics!
How I love my children, they are literally my everything and if I could I would give them the moon on a stick. They may be cheeky, they may be loud, they may give me grey hairs and drive me up the wall lets not mention walls ay? They are also incredibly kind, caring, clever, loving, thoughtful and hilariously funny.
As they sleep this evening much like they did in this photo taken whilst holidaying in Majorca I can’t help but to sneak in for a little look at my dozing duo. They are my sunshine, my only sunshine, they make me happy when skies or moods are grey. They’ll never really know how much I love them but one things for sure, I wouldn’t wish for it to be any other way.
The Dozing Duo
