It’s been just over a week since the autumn term began yet we’ve fallen straight back into the routine like a duck to water. E thankfully seems to be loving being in year five, whilst J has also made an excellent start in his final year of key stage three. It’s scary how quickly time seems to fly by; E brought home a letter today from a potential secondary school regarding an open evening later this month and seeing the invite in print felt daunting, to say the least – how on earth can my little princess have less than two years to go until she’s a senior school student?!
In order to calm my nerves after reading the letter, I spent a few minutes scrolling through my snapshots from the summer to remind myself of the good times that we’ve had and the memories that we’ve made. It was during said scrolling session that I came across this rather cute snapshot of E taken after her friends’ party where she’d had her face painted as a dragon.
Thank goodness for all the photos that I take to capture their childhoods, without these shots I’m almost certain time would escape me even more so.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.
