And just like that, the summer holidays are officially over as my beautiful little girl started year five today. I too was also back to work and though the early alarm was an unwelcome sound first thing this morning, it actually felt rather good to get back to it and to return to a routine.
Despite being ever so slightly apprehensive, E skipped into school with a smile and according to her reports, she has throroughly enjoyed her first day back. Here’s hoping J’s return to school later this week will be as smooth sailing!
