Welcome to another instalment of #LivingArrows, the last #LivingArrows post prior to the start of yet another academic year!
Whilst most of the UK have returned to school, my children don’t start back until Thursday which gives us that little bit of extra time together to enjoy activities while things are a little quieter.
I’m all for jumping in the car and heading out for the day but quite often I find it’s the simple things which work best and the children seem to enjoy the most. A simple trip to the beach and a stroll on the sand is often far easier and cheaper than setting up camp in a random theme park or worse, soft-play hell.
It won’t be long before ‘random trips out’ no longer fit into the routine, now that E will be joining J at School it will be a little trickier to organise trips but I’m sure once that I find a job which fits into family life a little more than my current pint-pulling role it’ll all work out.
Theres nothing better than an hour or two of fresh air to get the kids yawning come bed time. It’s not only the kids that find themselves easily exhausted following a blast on the beach, I too find it easier to sleep the days that I have been out and about sucking up the sea breeze by which I am not referring to cocktails!

Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Oh that looks like a great way to spend the last of the summer! Ours didn’t go back until Wednesday which felt late too. I hope back to school went ok! x
