We’ve had an action packed week, we literally haven’t stopped from one day to the next and quite frankly I’m exhausted! One things for sure, we’ve certainly kept the kids entertained throughout the summer holidays, how either of them ever dare ever complain of boredom is beyond me.
As you may have read in my previous posts, E enjoyed her first ever horse riding lesson earlier this week. Considering that she’s only four-years old I personally think she did really well and I’m hoping that with time and practice that we may be able to trot down the beach together in years to come.
Princess & The Pony
I’m never able to settle and am constantly tidying this, that and the other. This week it’s been J’s room which was given the ‘total tidy treatment’. I removed his rug, rearranged the furniture and cleared his wardrobes of clothes which he had outgrown. I also switched some posters and such like around to create a calmer, cleaner room for him to enjoy.
From Bomb Site To Treasure Island
He now has pirate ships, treasure chests, jolly roger flags, treasure maps and a whole host of pirate themed paraphernalia neatly placed and displayed around his room.
I suspect that come this time tomorrow when J’s friend comes to stay overnight his once tidy, clean bedroom will be a thing of the past. Sod the bomb site and bring it on! It’s precisely the reason why we were so desperate for a high sleeper with a pull out bed, I for one cannot wait for J to have one of his friends stay overnight for the first time, it’ll be yet another milestone and hopefully another fantastic memory to add to the summer.
Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
