This time last week we were larking about in Lloret having the time of our lives in the summer sun, one week later we’re back to the British weather andΒ it feels as if Autumn has made an early arrival. The vest tops and shorts have been washed, folded and put away for another year whilst the jumpers and jeans had made a welcome comeback.
The kids don’t seem to care less that it’s raining outside, they are quite happy running around having fun no matter what the weather, which is wonderful to watch whilst sat wrapped up warm inside enjoying a slice of birthday cake and a mug of hot coffee.
Earlier today I sat flicking through the realms of photos which we took whilst away and came across these two beauties of the kids, enjoying yet another ride on the carousel. We went to the vintage style carousel without fail every single night of the holiday; each evening the children would choose a different animal or carriage to ride upon and it became somewhat of an evening routine, which the children looked forward to each day.

Having sat and had a chat with my own Mum regarding the holidays which I went upon as a child, I realise how important those holiday memories can be. I only hope that our children grow up to treasure their memories from the times that we took them away, I for one certainly will.
I’d love to have the cash flow to take our children to Florida to live the Disney dream. However, at present we have other things to consider before throwing our cash on such delights. Saying that, I’m not entirely convinced that Florida is all that it’s cracked up to be with the lengthy plane journey, scorching temperatures, endless queues for rides and numerous experiences which would likely overwhelm our children, so I think for now that we’ll stick to cheap and cheerful beach holidays.
I guess it doesn’t really matter where you go, what you do or how much you spend upon a holiday, it’s the memories that you make as a family that truly matter and we’ve made a whole heap of happy memories over the past few weeks which I will look back upon fondly.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with yourΒ #LivingArrowsΒ either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

What fun photos! I love the nostalgia of carousels! #LivingArrows
It sounds like you had a really lovely holiday – and you’re right, the memories the children will have will stay with them a lifetime. We’re in Florida at the moment and I wasn’t sure whether it would be all it’s cracked up to be either but, brief thunder storms reduce the temperature every afternoon and are incredible to see and the fast passes at Disney, that you get with all tickets, mean you don’t have to queue. When we’ve used our fast passes we pick rides with no more than a 15 minute wait time and have done so many rides – and met so many Disney characters too without really queueing that much. I’m a complete disney convert! x
I adore Disney (have been to Florida, California and euro twice) but itβs just sooo expensive ! Well Jel if you x
