When it comes to travelling abroad with a young family, you cannot beat Spain! There are so many family friendly resorts, most of which we have visited over the years and will no doubt return to one day. This year we decided to book a week in Lloret De Mar, somewhere we haven’t been before and so far are enjoying every second of.
It’s currently twenty-nine degrees celsius in temperature which is hot enough for me and certainly far easier to deal with the almost forty degrees which the locals were lazing in last week. The children are currently covered in factor fifty sun tan lotion and are busying themselves with their new-found friends playing in and around the pool.
Both J & E have made themselves at home in the hotel and have worn themselves out with hours upon hours of swimming, splashing and screaming with glee. It’s been wondering watching the children playing together, they have been so well-behaved, so polite and a pure pleasure to bring abroad.
Put together, J & E are the perfect pair of kids. I couldn’t help comparing them to other children their age and I was shocked to see that in reality our children are actually far easier and far less fussy than I first thought.
This holiday has highlighted to me just how much J has grown in terms of independence and understanding towards others, whereas E has startled me with her stunning swimming and willingness to give things a go in terms of trying new tastes and foods.
We’ve spent almost a year looking forward to this holiday and now that we are here, I feel it was worth every effort and every penny as the kids couldn’t be happier.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
