Though I’d have liked to have taken the kids out for a couple of days here and there, I’m still not entirely comfortable with the concept of crowds with the current Covid 19 situation thus we’ve opted to play it safe and keep close to home.
Dolls Play
I say ‘close to home’ but we’ve actually spent the past three weeks staying with my Mum twenty minutes away from where we live. Still, we’ve all had plenty of fun both in and outdoors: E has kept herself entertained at her Nanas drawing, painting, baking, and playing with various toys from the past such as her Shopkins, Sindy’s and her beautiful wooden dolls house.
A Sneaky Snap
J, on the other hand, prefers to play out with his friends, which hasn’t been whilst we’ve been away but we’ve been sure to return now and then so that he has been able to get out on his scooter and to see his mates over the holidays. I sneakily nabbed the above snap which he’d taken on his phone whilst in the process of playing a large scale version of hide and seek.
It may not have been the most eventful summer in terms of entertainment but with staying at my Mum’s, the kids have most definitely made memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

It sounds like the kids have had a great summer – it doesn’t need to be about big days out and holidays xx
