It’s been a pretty, soggy summer so far, though we’ve had the odd sunshine day, it never lasts for long – though that’s always the way for us northerners!
I just feel so bad for the kids as, like ourselves, they too have been stuck living in lockdown since March and I’d have loved to have taken them away somewhere this summer but it’s not to be.
Smiles On The Shore
Given that we live on the edge of the Lake District you’d think that there would be so many places that we could visit but sadly the tourists have taken over and it’s just too busy to be out. Don’t get me wrong, it’s brilliant for business and the local economy but I swear, on my drive out the other day I could see that the streets were bustling like Benidorm and the beaches – they too were packed.
Sunshine Smiles
We do our best to keep the kids busy and to get them out and about but we have to stay safe, though I’, not sure how this will work come September.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Sorry to hear that you can’t enjoy your local area. It’s good on the one hand but must be so frustrating for you.

Thankfully the weather is good today so we are garden gazing
We’re also doing that juggly of getting out but staying safe – it’s not always easy! x
It’s not easy x
I find it really sad that locals are unable to visit their local areas at the moment. People are being selfish for sure! It’s such a tricky time though isn’t it. Hope you enjoy the rest of the Summer anyway! xx
Thanks Sarah
Sorry you’ve not been able to explore locally, hope you are still managing to have fun. Love the unicorn head band she looks very cute.
We are thanks to the good weather x
Sorry to hear that the Lakes have been inundated with visitors. When we were away we tried so hard to stick to quieter spots as it makes me anxious when I see crowds x #livingarrows
It’s been a bustling hive of people
