I love the freedom that the summer holidays bring, the freedom to ditch the routine in favour of whatever you fancy. I half expected for the kids to sleep in most mornings but no matter whether they go to bed early, late or at the usual time, their body clocks seem to be stuck in school mode. I can’t say I’m entirely the same…thus they see me wearing my dressing gown for the majority of the morning!
We have such creative and crazy little kids, they are either busy drawing, colouring or building some sort of fort, either that or they are climbing or balancing precariously on something they really shouldn’t… I’m sure that between the pair of them, they will give me heart failure one day!
Heres a rather beautiful ‘blue skies snap’ of J demonstrating his ‘no fear’ outlook upon life whilst on a walk along the shore.
Beach Surfing
Being the bold, brave and brilliant little lady that she is, E is determined to ditch the stabilisers this summer, which with a little luck we may be able to manage.
I remember my Father-in-law, brother-in-law, and husband teaching J to ride his bike, it wasn’t easy and I imagine E won’t be all that easy to teach either! Until then though, she’s staying beautifully balanced and secure, that way we reduce the chance of any accidents including my possible heart failure…
Bike Rides With The Basset
Here’s hoping that we get through summer without any accidents, though given that my kids like to live life on the edge, usually the edge of something rickety and dangerous, I’ll be sure to keep the plasters at the ready!
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I love ditching the routine too – it’s so nice to mix things up, do different things and just relax a little. That photo of J is awesome! x
Thanks x

My kids don’t seem to be able to sleep in either – especially Gabe! Good luck with the bike riding 🙂 #LivingArrows
