Apologies in advance if you’re growing bored of the never-ending pool pictures, it’s not often that we get the chance here in the UK to spend time in the pool. It’s not that we are averse to water, we are quite used to getting wet but it’s usually with rainwater rather than pool water if you catch my drift…
British summers are much like playing the lottery – you’re never quite sure whether it’s worth setting up a barbeque or whether it’d be easier to grill indoors. Only last week the kids and I were sat at the picnic table, about to enjoy our sandwiches when we were hit by a sudden downpour. Moments later the sun returned but by then we’d moved ourselves and our meals inside. I don’t mind a bit of rain but I’m not all that keen on soggy sandwiches…
It’s surprising how hot it can get here in the UK during the summer, given that it’s only two or three weeks, days or sometimes hours each year we aren’t exactly prepared for such events. Our houses are equipped with the likes of aircon, thus it’s paddling pools out, parasols up, windows open, curtains shut and if you’re lucky – switch on a fan or two. Otherwise, it’s put up, shut up and have a Solero!
Hopefully, there will be plenty more fun in the sun to come shortly!
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with yourΒ #LivingArrowsΒ either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

All you need is a paddling pool for a peaceful day in the garden. Looks like you made the most of the sunny weather #livingarrows
